2014...A Year in Review for the CCL!

Trials, tribulations...yes.

And despite it all, 2014 was such an amazing and pivotal year for the CCL with many groundbreaking accomplishments for the organization, including the following:

• After MONTHS and MONTHS of planning, we announced our mission and planned program concepts to key stakeholders in the community at the "Re-Launch Into Creativity" kick-off event and received critical feedback that helped shape the organization to what it is today and what it will be in the years to come.

• The CCL launched its Museum-on-Wheels educational outreach initiative in March, bringing creativity-stimulating programs to afterschool programs, school districts, libraries, other youth-serving organizations, and family-oriented events.

• In this shortened inaugural year, the CCL provided programming and education to over 1,800 students, a majority of the children in underserved and other high-need populations.

• The CCL Museum-on-Wheels developed strong-working collaborations with key community partners, that included: Orange County Department of Education, Orange County Association for the Education of Young Children, California School-Age Children Consortium, Orange County Department of Education After School Student Support Services, Orange County Head Start, Irvine Public Schools Foundation, Fullerton School District, Santa Ana College Community Services Programs, Santa Ana Public Library, City of Orange Public Library, Festival of Children, Muzeo Museum & Cultural Center, Boys & Girls Club of Santa Ana, and Boys & Girls Club of Laguna Beach.

• The CCL transitioned from a one-dimensional program for children to a more comprehensive outreach model with several offerings available for children and additional programs designed specifically for parents, adult trainings, and educators.

Throughout the year, the kindness and generosity in the community amazed us, provided us with much-needed support, and encouraged us to continue on our pathway.

Thank you.

With that said, there's greater things to come in 2015!
