AS YOU THINK ABOUT YOUR ANNUAL CHARITABLE GIVING, PLEASE CONSIDER THE CHILD CREATIVITY LAB
2015 was a significant year for the Child Creativity Lab. After years of focusing on our Museum-on-Wheels educational outreach program, the organization launched its first physical location, the Depot for Creative Reuse and Community Makerspace in Santa Ana.
This has allowed our nonprofit organization to significantly increase our program offerings and make an even stronger impact in the community. By the end of December, we will have served approximately 3,000 children in Orange County through 85 hands-on, STEM-based programs (science, technology, engineering, and math), many of which were provided free of charge to children and educators in underserved communities. These programs foster problem solving, critical and divergent thinking, and the ability to innovate. These are vital benefits for children that are immediate, long-lasting and will pay forward to society in the long-term.
WHAT'S NEXT FOR 2016?
In the coming year, we again have some great goals, including:
• 25% growth of our educational youth programs, with an emphasis on underserved populations
• Providing educational materials scholarships to all Title 1 schools in Orange County
• Distribution of our STEM education kits to 40% of low-income 3rd grade students in Orange County
IN ORDER TO DO THIS, WE NEED YOUR HELP
$10 puts a STEM education kit into the hands of a 3rd grader; $150 allows us to provide a hands-on educational workshop for 25 low-income children; $250 lets us distribute a materials scholarship to a school for much-needed classroom supplies.
Please consider a donation to ensure our children have the skills they need to succeed in the competitive 21st century.
